Buckwalter Veterans Park in Bluffton, SC, is the town’s first inclusive playground. Completed in early 2020, it was updated in 2024 with new shade structures. Many of the pieces of equipment are designed for inclusive play, such as the wheelchair whirl, musical instruments and sensory panels. Artificial turf surfacing provides a cooler surface, has the best head-impact rating for falls and makes navigation in a wheelchair very easy. We also provided the site amenities from Urbanscape and the Murdock drinking fountain.
