Buckwalter Veterans Park in Bluffton, SC, is the town’s first inclusive playground. Completed in early 2020, it only just reopened due to COVID-19. Many of the pieces of equipment are designed for inclusive play, such as the wheelchair whirl, musical instruments and sensory panels. Artificial turf surfacing provides a cooler surface, has the best head-impact rating for falls and makes navigation in a wheelchair very easy. We also provided the site amenities from Urbanscape and the Murdock drinking fountain.
