Churchich Recreation and Design provided a custom Shade Systems sail structure at Coastal Carolina University’s Hick’s dining hall. The new shade structure cools the outside patio visitors in the hot spring and summer months. To provide additional support, the center post was reinforced by concrete.

Coastal Carolina University is a public liberal arts institution located in Conway, just minutes from Myrtle Beach, S.C. The University offers 67 areas of study toward the baccalaureate degree, and eight master’s degree programs in accountancy, business administration, education, liberal studies, marine and wetland studies, and writing, plus the new Educational Specialist in Educational Leadership.
