MindStream Academy, located in Bluffton, SC, is a co-ed boarding program where teens achieve healthy weight, get fit and build self-esteem in a positive, safe and caring natural environment. The organization helps teens develop healthy life skills to handle the daily stress and triggers that have led to unhealthy eating habits.
Churchich Recreation and Design provided exterior fitness stations and equipment including cardio and weight training components. The equipment is configured for four specific areas around the campus with safety surfacing and timbers to hold the system securely. In addition, recreation equipment for basketball, soccer and volleyball were installed. Bonded poured-in-place rubber surfacing was used as an outdoor classroom area for students to participate in a classroom environment or to be used for yoga or aerobic participation in a natural, outdoor setting.
